Here comes the next one

A long time ago, I had the idea to create an anthology of original Ben Perkins stories. I actually started on these around 2008 and drafted 4 out of the projected 12. Then I was distracted by a magnum opus mainstream suspense that took me 17 years to finish.

Now I'm back on the original Ben Perkins anthology: Half Dead Blues. The 4 that were drafted before are getting a good workover and the 8 others are mapped out. Each of these stories can stand on its own, but I also have several through-lines that can be appreciated if the stories are read in sequence.

So it's a sort of "short story cycle." I'm very happy to be back in good old Ben's world.
